Hey PI-Fans,
If you’re wondering where the team has gone… well, in a classic case of laws of shipment attraction*, thanks to a combination of freight and Thanksgiving, everything kind of rolled up into this giant deathball of a shipment.
TLDR: Azul: Master Chocolatier, Bag of Chips, Burger ASAP, Challengers, Family Business, Hand-to-Hand Wombat, Mind MGMT, Squid Game, Ticket to Ride: San Francisco, Villainous in stock.
On the board game front, the suddenly overloaded New Games shelf should speak for itself, with new editions of classic titles as well as a whole stack of weirder ones.
This is going to be a word salad wall of text, so hang on.
There’s a big food theme going this year, starting with Azul: Master Chocolatier, a candy themed limited edition of the classic Azul board game. Trundling up to the shelves is a reprint of Ramen Fury, along with the probability management game Bag of Chips and the puzzle reaction game Burger ASAP, each of which comes packed in a thematic food related package. Along the way, we also picked up copies of the dexterity-hidden traitor hybrid Hand-to-Hand Wombat from Exploding Kittens games where players attempt to assemble puzzles with their eyes closed while a traitor fumbles around knocking things over. On the other end of the hidden traitor scale is a new printing of Unfathomable, for players who want depth in their social deduction games. Moving on from hidden traitor to Hidden Player, the mind bending psychadelic Mind MGMT hits the table as psychic detectives hunt a hidden recruiter player across the field through a combination of deduction from the limited information available and guesswork. Those wanting a slightly more sardonic experience can consider Happy Little Dinosaurs as they scramble to keep their dinosaurs alive through the worst the world can throw at them. People looking for classics will be happy to know that reprints of Family Business, Machi Koro 2, Harvest Dice and a new Ticket to Ride city game have arrived in the form of Ticket to Ride: San Francisco. Fans of Disney properties will be happy to know we’ve also managed to score copies of Villainous and we can all agree weirdness is on the cards with the board game adaptation of the smash hit Netflix series Squid Game.
We’ll be going over each title individually in a feature over the month and they’ll be on the webstore soon, so keep an eye out.
In the meantime, we’ll do our best to keep you loaded with awesome games over this festive season.
