Hey PI-Fans,
As we continue working our way through the pallets, it’s time for the hernia inducing big boxes.
After much swearing, loading these down the stairs through the building’s back entrance, we’ve hauled the cooperative crowd pleaser SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence up to the store. For those seeking a lighter title (both literally and figuratively), the HEAT expansion HEAT – Heavy Rain has also come in alongside the headliner, adding new wrinkles to the race. Survive the Island on the other hand is lighter still, being a reimplementation of the much sought after 1982 board game classic Survive: The Escape from Atlantis.
There’s an equal share of weird stuff along for the ride, including the official BattleTech cookbook, ‘Chandrasekhar Kurita’s The Art of Food – Recipes of the Inner Sphere’ if you’re looking for an absolute oddball in-universe product.
Here’s to a great week of gaming and we hope to see you at the store.

As engines are roaring to life and rain is relentlessly pouring down, the atmosphere at the Japan Grand Prix is charged with anticipation and uncertainty. The pristine track that once promised speed and precision now glistens with raindrops, becoming a treacherous ribbon of asphalt demanding the utmost skill and concentration from the drivers.
The first expansion for HEAT – Pedal to the Metal, HEAT – Heavy Rain adds a pair of new maps featuring tracks in Mexico and Japan. It also introduces new rain and water based mechanics, as well as components for an additional 7th player, increasing player count.

Survive The Island is a cutthroat game in which players seek to evacuate their adventurers with the most possible treasure to maximize their score, while dodging the attacks of the local kaiju sized wildlife.
An island is slowly sinking into the ocean as tiles are removed from the board. Each player controls ten adventurers holding different amounts of loot that they try to move towards the safety of the surrounding islands before the main island’s volcanoes finally erupts, ending the game. Players can either swim or use rafts to travel, but must avoid sea serpents, kaiju, and sharks on their way to safety.

In SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, you lead a scientific institution tasked with searching for traces of life beyond planet Earth. The game draws inspiration from current or emerging technologies and efforts in space exploration.
Players will explore nearby planets and their moons by launching probes from Earth while taking advantage of ever-shifting planetary positions. Decide whether to land on their surface to collect valuable samples, or stay in orbit for a broader survey. Additionally, by directing your telescopes to gaze into distant star systems, you may detect traces of alien signals or undiscovered exoplanets, and collect promising data to examine and study back home.
Back on Earth, you can invest in upgrading your equipment so you can analyze incoming data more efficiently, boost your telescope signal capacity, or increase your supply of resources—all to expand the scope of your search that could lead to a discovery of extraterrestrial life forms.
